Unable to download custom tunes

So I got the email the other day that my custom tunes were ready. I updated pegasus, programmed truck back to zero, Then followed the steps to download tunes.

This is the error msg I received on the screen word-for-word:

"Unable to locate a valid Target Instruction file.

This often occurs during server maintenance or when files on the server are being updated.

This is may also be caused by a firewall issue or other internet related problem.

Please contact Power Hungry for further assistance."

Then, I clicked "OK" and it gave me this text in the Pegasus screen:

"Unable to locate a Target Instruction file. Process failed

Update failed. Please contact your vendor for assistance."

I then disabled my firewall and tried again and same thing. I read another thread where someone had the same issue and Bill mentioned the tunes not uploading on the server. Any help would be appreciated

Bart, you're going to have to be more helpful. Please go to the UserCP and enter all your personal information: full name, programmer serial number, model number, hex code, etc.

Then, download and install Pegasus, click on Help->Registration and fill in all the details there too. That way PHP's server will be able to "talk" to you.

Using Pegasus to update your hardware.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In order to update your Gryphon, the first thing you need to do is make sure that you have installed the Pegasus Update Client. Here is the download link:

http://www.powerhungryperformance.co...v2_01_0575.exe

You may also want to download the Quick Start Guide at:

http://www.powerhungryperformance.co...user_guide.pdf

Once installed, run the Pegasus application. Always make sure you have the latest software version by going to [Updates] and then [Pegasus Update Manager]. If there are any updates available, you will be notified. If not, then continue on.

To update your Gryphon with CUSTOM files, follow these simple steps:

Make ABSOLUTELY SURE you return the vehicle back to stock before going any further. In most cases an update shouldn't be allowed unless the programmer is back to stock, but some early versions had a firmware bug that may cause the all the data on the unit to be lost when trying to update while still programmed.
Connect the programmer to the USB cable.
From the main Pegasus screen, select [Updates] and then [Targeted Functions] to begin the custom download.
Follow any on-screen prompts to disconnect/reconnect the USB cable. Later versions don't usually do this, but early versions do. Make sure to read all messages before clicking [OK].
Once the update is complete, you may remove the USB cable and return the unit to your vehicle..

Nice instructions tg150!

I will just add in to make sure the drivers install. That's done it to me a couple of times on vista 32.

Very good, tg150! You're getting almost as "long-winded" as me! Trying to put me out of a job?

Excellent post! I'll add though, make sure your ignition key is ON before you plug the Gryphon back into the OBDII port. (See, I couldn't leave well enough alone, could I?).
