First did you clear any codes in the diagnostics menu? If no codes were cleared start with clearing them.
You may just have to unplug it with key off. Then with key on engine off plug it back in.

As I recall, this has something to do with a low (or maybe disconnected) battery.

When you reconnected the battery, did you turn the ignition ON before plugging the Gryphon into the OBD port? If not, it did not initialize properly. Do it now. Unplug the Gryphon, turn the ignition ON and plug it back in.

Regardless though, if the Gryphon seems to be working fine otherwise, I think the "hit enter" warning will go away after about three startups.

(And I just realized that Lars already said to try the "disconnect" procedure - Oh well, it doesn't hurt to repeat it).

That pulley will have to be changed!
So call em up and tell them you got the wrong one or see what they have to say. 9 times outa 10 the connectors will be different also. But if they tell you to swap pulleys then that's what needs to be done. But first pick up the phone and do some questioning.
You'll end up buying a belt toooo!!!!

Hey lars, i just went to the gm dealer who installed it . The alternator is the correct one. Everything works great. The manager looked quite embarrased :o when i showed him. I'm going back in the morning to have the pulley changed out to the 6 groove. I dont think the belt needs changing quite yet, there was no harm done to it. I think spending 270 on the truck one day was plenty

I am glad that the dealer is going to make it right!

Sorry I kinda am spastic on some stuff!
I just don't want others to get burned like I have in the past.
