If you bought the programmer after 02/2009, you definitely have the later cables. Those warnings are only for folks who bought programmers the middle of last year.
You're good.  By the way, if you're seeing the cable warning, you're in the wrong update section. You'll be wanting to use the [Targeted Functions] option in the update menu. [Gryphon Update Manager] will load only the stock canned tuning back onto the unit. Take care.
