The PCM only makes a few calculations based on EBP.
Backpressure valve Shift/line pressures Desired boost (which indirectly changes wastegate operation) There's probably one or two more that I've forgotten. Anyway, there won't be any real negative or detrimental effects of having the sensor unplugged. Auto manufacturers often implement strategies to avoid damage in case of sensor failure anyway (fail safe modes).
