I am using my modded version of Bill's 80hp as my daily driver here at 6000 ft + I changed the setings for the factory high altitude compensation maps(low boost fuel, SOI etc) that kick in at 4500 ft.. Bill leaves them at the factory settings I think. made other changes too... Honestly I don't think really notice a lot of difference but I drive pretty conservatively.... It's plenty of power for my needs...

there are also some tranny stuff for elevation as well as rpm shifts at altitude... I am finding more that I need to tweak for the cold starts and winter temps than for the altitude.. .

Hopefully will get more insight when Bill is out for Truck fest this summer in CO

DJ,

Get him some Motza Ball soup. He likes it.

Oh yeah, and if Corey comes, listen to her say "Motza Ball".

I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that "the other guys" mountain tune also made the down shifts much sooner to compensate for switchbacks so that when you let off the throttle for a curve, for example, it would downshift quicker in anticipation of a steep switchback turn...a feature that I'd like to have where I live and drive at 90% of the time.

Another VERY EASY thing for any tuner to do.

I set up my towing tunes like that.
