How heavy is the trailer? What RPM are you running while the temps are that high? 4th gear or 3rd? Any hills?

My trailer is about 9000LBS loaded.Going from a dead stop at the to end of first gear (3300 rpm) at 55mph it hits 1450 EGT.On a smaller hill on the highway in 3rd gear at 3200 rpm it hits 1425,i only run the truck with O.D off there are alot of hills on the way to the track.

1450! I thought it was bad when I was hitting 1300*.

Ohhh......its nothing about your issue, its just funny how I can about peg a 2k gauge in a matter of seconds (unloaded, on flat ground).

Are you flooring it or just driving casually while towing . I was towing my boat and gunned it and yeah the egts went way high but driving normal it wont go that high. If your not driving crazy then I think you might have a leak. I drive 14 miles on steep hills and my egts would go to 1300 1400 in overdrive going up my hill. Highest it hits know is 1200 in overdrive at low rpms.
