Pics of mine and my 99
Thank you to Bill and Corey for my Gryphon. I haven't been able to do much but drive around the block, so full review yet to come. Got installed without a hitch, so happy with that. Tomorrow I will attempt the custom options when I have some time to play. I actually took time to read and re-read the manual. I'm really excited about the different parameter displays I can monitor. Very cool. Last edited by jumpn; Sat, February 28th, 2009 at 01:35 AM. |

Yes. If you're running the canned tunes, you'll need to complete a programming session and include the tire size and gear ratio options. MAKE SURE YOU DO BOTH. Don't just do the tires and skip the gears or you may end up with your speedo off a bit.
Take care.

Ok, did some customizing today. Did run into a problem the first time, and got that heavy gas smell, and couldn't maintain idle very well. Returned to factory tune, unplugged, and started over from scratch. Got it done right that time. Don't know what happened with the first attempt. BTW, there are options to change the display color. Mine doesn't change. Is that option available or not?
1 more question. It warned me each start up with it's disclaimer to push enter to accept the tuner. Does it do that the first 3 or 4 times you use it, then figure you know what you are doing? |
