Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

I have mine set at 23-24 PSI max....
Any more than that and the turbocharger will start to hate life. Not to mention that you don't gain any power above that level with a stock turbo. You SHOULD see more than 20 PSI with a stock turbocharger in the 100 HP program. Sounds to me like you need to start looking for a boost or drive pressure leak.

Sounds about right to me.
Remember, more boost does not always mean more power. You need to also look at exhaust back-pressure (via scan tool or manual gauge), the boost and back-pressure should maintain a 1:1 ratio for maximum power. |

So where would be the most common place to have a boost leak? I was thinking the boots could be loose, would this be a good place to start?

That's one place to look.

The o-ring on the compressor outlet, the hot-side boots, the intercooler end tank seals (if you have a plastic-tank intercooler), the cold-side boots, the boots at the intake plenums, etc.
Drive pressure leaks are really common where the turbine inlet pipes merge into the collector. It's a design flaw....nothing wrong with the truck. If you see soot where the pipes merge into the collector at the back side of the turbine housing, then plan on buying new pipes and donut seals.

Could your waste gate be releasing pressure at 20 psi though too? Just something elso to consider.
