Fixing to put my truck in the shop to replace the pads/rotors, ball joints, rear drive shaft u-joints, and master cylinder (my brake pedal goes to the floor if I have to hold them long enough while still going down the road...NOT A GOOD FEELING. Feels like the cylinder is not sealed inside). I've already bought everything but the master cylinder. I was also going to see if they could pould a grease zerk where the slip yoke is.
Since I'm going to have the shop go that far, I figured I'd go ahead and change the shocks. I have that big ranch hand bumper on the front if that makes any difference ![]()

I believe that my truck has adjustable shocks... they seem pretty nice to me, I don't remember what brand... I think they are the rancho 9000's. Hope that helps, I don't have a clue about anything else you are asking about :/

Have them check the brake line going to the rear axle where it passes behind the fuel tank on the driverside frame rail. Mine rusted out a few months back & gave the same symptom you describe.
I put the Monroe Reflex shocks on mine & have no complaints. I got them from shockwarehouse.com for about $190. There are quite a few folks that say the Bilsteins work good on our trucks but I can't say cause I've never had them. Good luck

Would you not use brake fluid with that issue?
