Welcome to the forum! Great to have someone on here (besides Bill and me) who remembers the days before "drive-by-wire".
When I first got my f150 (I bought it used in a "private sale") and opened the hood to REALLY look at the engine, I was sure something had been left out. No distributor, no plug wires, no throttle linkage...., how the heck did the thing even run? And THEN I learned there was no speedometer cable, no actual coolant sensor, good grief! :shock: I thought I was doomed to take the darned thing back to the dealer for every little problem.
However, I found the f150 forums and learned a bunch from them (and got flamed a few times too over there) so now I feel better about this machine.
We're an easy going bunch on this forum and you won't believe how much better your truck will drive once it's been tuned with a Gryphon. Save your pennies!
