Default HEX code

I am slowly getting around to sending in my Edge, but how do I retrieve my HEX code? I have seen it a couple of times, but it usually isn't around long enough to jot it down. LOL Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

As I recall, you can get it in the diagnostics menu, but if I need it I usually just unplug the cable at the OBDII port and then, with the ignition ON, plug it back in again. The unit will show you the truck's HEX code and it stays on the screen until you hit "Enter".

Default related hijack...

BUMP

I will be ordering a Gryphon with custom tunes shortly. Where do I find the hex code of my ECU prior to initial purchase?

I have an AccessECU tuned Subaru, so I'm fairly familiar with this whole process.

Unless you have access to a scan tool that provide the software level for the ECM, you won't be able to retrieve the Calibration code until you receive your unit and we'll only need it if we are doing custom files.

Hope this helps.

I was going to order my Gryphon with a Performance 87 in place of the tranny only setting. From reading the order form, I thought you needed the hex code to do that.

Way it works is, you get the unit with all 3 canned tunes. You will get your HEX code when you setup, then you send it to Bill. Then if you ordered custom tunes, whenever Bill gets them ready you can just download them from there server.

Ahhhhh, that makes a little more sense. I was confused because the order form allows me to replace the different levels for the initial purchase.

When I got my COBB AccessPort for my Subaru, it came with the canned tunes. I then dyno tuned it, and had those tunes to load as well.
