For what it's worth, we just did a local truck and had the opportunity to install the JLT. It went in super easy and looked pretty good. Tuning was a snap and the truck ran quite nicely.
 Also, because it doesn't use the 24" plastic intake tube, it didn't seem to drone badly at all. I can't say how well it works compared to the snorkel mods, but it did feel good.Sooooo I'd say we shouldn't have any problems with the JLT.
