If you are absolutely certain they won't reflash you, then there's really no reason to return it to stock. Still, I'd unplug the Gryphon and leave it at home. No sense tempting fate. You can just pull it out of the pod and unplug it at the back of the Gryphon, leaving the pod and cable in place.
