Default Help...unplugged battery

I was adding a new head unit to my truck and unplugged the negative terminal on the battery with the gryphon plugged in and my custom tune (87 performance) programmed on the PCM. Realizing that I probably shoudnt have done this, I plugged everything back in and returned the truck to stock tune. After finishing with the HU install I hooked everything back up and programmed the truck back to level 1 (87 perf) and it now seems like this is the stock tune. I programmed it back to stock and now that seems like the 87 performance tune.

Any thoughts or help?

I can tell you that the stock tune is the stock tune and the performance tune is the performance tune. What happened when you disconnected the battery is that all the learned data was wiped out. The PCM needs to go through a relearn procedure in order to get all the base fuel trims and stuff back to normal.

Best suggestion is to drive a day or two with the programmer set back to stock. This will give the PCM a chance to level out. Then program your truck back to your performance tune. This should get you back to where you were.

Take care.

MORE COOL INFORMATION! You're recommending letting the PCM do its "drive cycle" thing in a "stock" tune.

Is this a "recommended" approach to deal with the "P1000" code? I would have guessed it could do it in any "tune" state, in fact, I've never returned the truck to stock after a battery disconnect.
