Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip.

Default Questions on 6 position chip

Hello folks, just joined up here and see some familiar folks. Been thinking about finally pulling the trigger on something that I don't have to wait forever to change programs, not that I change that much. I mainly run it in the race setting on my Edge, unless I'm towing then I just return to stock because I don't see much difference in the tow setting from stock.
I thought about just reprogramming the Edge but would rather have something shift on the fly.
I was searching over the different tuners out there and these have the best price I've seen. I was looking at the 6 position chip and was wondering about the options. I have a 6 speed and was wondering if the tow programs would help me at all or should I just go with the performance settings? From what I am seeing its not recommended to go over the 100hp setting with my PMR's. Is this correct? I don't tow heavy often but I do move equipment (tractors and such) every so often. I do tow my bass boat as often as possible.
I also have a sticker under the hood that says the PCM was reprogrammed and it gives a number, if that makes a difference. I even went out today and pulled the PCM to get the code because it was no way I was going to see it by pulling the harness plug off.
I was looking to get a high idle, and a stock setting, so I got a few more positions to fill. I don't need the Valet or teen driver settings, because I'm the ONLY one that drives my truck. Also how much difference is there from the fuel sipper setting to the daily driver? Any help on this or recommendations on what I should get would appreciated. As far as a manual transmission-equipped truck goes, you will find very little difference in the power delivery from the tow programs to the performance programs. USUALLY, the tow programs are designed to get the most from the automatic transmission trucks because that's where the programming really shines.From what I am seeing its not recommended to go over the 100hp setting with my PMR's. Is this correct? You really can't make or use more than that without mechanical upgrades anyway and stock injectors are pretty "safe" as it is. Daily driver is going to be responsive, add a few ponies, and make your truck a pleasure to drive; not be such a chore anymore. Fuel sipper changes a few low boost fuel maps, ICP maps, and start of injection timing maps to help eliminate smoking off idle. It's a little less "fun" than the others, but adds a nice bit of power once you stand on it.Any help on this or recommendations on what I should get would appreciated. The first thing you'll notice going from the Edge Evolution to one of Bill's custom tunes is the "normal" feeling of the accelerator pedal....the uncomfortable "touchyness" will be gone. I know you know what that feels like with the Edge....the throttle becomes less of an on-off switch with the custom tunes.

get the smoke show... its fun you will get pretty good smoke on the second half of the throttle on the 100hp and up tunes. Im in LA at the moment and running the 100HP. I am getting new tires on Tuesday so I gotta redo my tunes then to adjust speedometer settings.

That will be great if it takes out the touchyness of the pedal. So this is what I'm thinking of going with...
Stock
1200 High Idle
Whisper
65 tow or 65 daily driver(for just a lower HP setting for towing my boat)
80 daily driver
100 race (for playing a bit, as much as stock injectors with my mods will allow)
Opinions?

Thanks. I am still doing some thinking on the 100hp setting......

How much seat of the pants feel would I have between the 100 race and 100 performance? I do have a more aggressive driving style, so I was thinking of going with the 100performance for those days instead of the race. I'd like to be able to play a little bit but I may just drop the whisper setting for a go fast setting.
