Default Sunroof problem

Hello, I looking for help on fixing my truck sunroof. I took my truck to ford and they did an estimate for me of $1787dlls. I think that's way expensive. I was told which parts were needed, and I buy them for 89 dollars. Now I am looking help getting diagrams to install the parts my self. Any suggestion
Thanks
Javier

I don't have any ideas about diagrams, but you might be able to do a Google search on "F150 sunroof" (probably the model year would help too) and you may find something. I took the sunroof out of my 91 Honda Accord once, and it wasn't too hard.

If the parts were only $89, you were being charged a TON for labor! That means one of two things: either the dealer is ripping you off, or, there is a lot more to fixing the sunroof laborwise than you think.

Good luck!

Well, I have never messed with a sun-roof on a f-150, but I would say it shouldn't be to hard unless you are having to replace the whole wiring harness. But then it shouldn't be to bad.

The worse part will probably be pulling the headliner....usually a headache.

Thanks for replying. I did take it apart and installed the parts yesterday but something is preventing from closing and it clicks to times then closes. I will take a look to see what it is this afternoon. Thanks for help.

Track might be going bad. It will allow it to open but it get to the certain stop point and that's where the track is worn or broke?

PIA!?!
