Default Fog Lights

I am installing Ranch hand front and rear replacements and read some posts on F150 online that the fog lights will lose some of there brightness. I assume this is due to the steel grate in front of them. Can I insatall a brighter more powerful bulb? Is it going to produce more heat?

Not familier with Ranch Hand?
What are they?
Light housings or brush guards?

Sylvania makes the silverstar. The bulb is #9145(not anymore heat than normal). Or you could go HID route with 5K-6K kits(less heat and more candles).

Silverstar's are really good upgrade and make a big difference compared to standard bulbs (little or no extra heat)
