Upgrade your Evo (Disabled)
Upgrade your Edge Evolution to a Gryphon Programmer to allow for custom tuning and additional functionality.

Due to issues with the cable failures due to incompatible versions of firmware, we do not offer upgrades or tuning for the 1997-2003 F-Series gas or 7.3L diesel trucks. We recommend using another platform.

Default Definately looking to upgrade the EVO

I'm going to definately be in contact with these guy and have my Evo upgraded. I have owned it for a whole 5? days now, and its sitting there locked up, wont do a thing. So my weekend has basically been stuck at home or forced to ride my motorbike because the Evo wont do its job. Please tell me, Bill, that you have better software than Edge does. While it worked, it was great. Now I have completely second guessed buying this thing from them. If anyone knows how I can reflash this Evo and unlock it, I'm all ears ( or eyes). This lock up took place after updating the firmware from Edge. Now it sits there and says to wait for it to initialize, which never happens. Thanks to anyone that has a solution. I'm dreading the call to tech support. I have had the whole weekend without my truck to become more and more aggravated with Edge. (yes my truck does run, but nobody has been able to confirm that its ok to drive it) Rick...

Hi, Rick. Welcome to this forum! I can tell you that your truck IS safe to drive.

Bill will get you going again with the Edge, so don't worry. And, you will definitely be happier with a Gryphon!

I'm missing something here...

If the Evo isn't working but the truck is stock, why would you think that it would not be safe to drive?

Moving on. What year truck is it? If you could, please fill in the vehicle information in your User Profile so we can reference that information in the event of a mishap. I'm sure we can get you up and running again quite easily.

Take care.

The truck had been programmed but I felt it had been put back to stock before the crash. Wasnt 100% sure of that though due to the programmer crapping out. In any event, Edge linked me to a reflash, and the programmer is once again upo and running. Definately going to look into an upgrade though. Though tech support was very helpful, I prefer something more stable and not have to deal with that again.
