I have a stock 06 scab 2wd and PLAN on doing mods (intake and exhaust) later. If I go ahead and order the Gryphon, is there a setup for temporary use for a stock motor?
Also, is this correct?--> Whenever I DO add those mods, I just email PHP for the codes?? Thanks for any help! |

So you want to do an intake and exhaust also as mods?
Save yourself some coin and do this one for the intake. http://forum.gopowerhungry.com/2004-...-pictures.html approx $8-$15. The exhaust and the above intake mod will not effect canned or custom tunes. If you do these then you'll be ok. Peace! ![]()

so I can order a 87 performance tune, and do the gotts mod after I get the tune and it wont affect anything since the gotts mod is prior to the MAF?

Yes that's correct.
The gotts mod doesn't effect the MAF location like CAI's do. Peace! ![]()

Jack, I saw your write up on this forum and f150online, it was quite nice.
If I wasn't working til 6am, then driving to the cabin after a short nap today, I would most definately be modding the intake, maybe when I get back, after I sod the entire back yard, bury some power cables, put in a few light fixtures that need updating, mow the front yard...etc...etc...etc.....stupid house...why cant you be more fun like the truck and motorcycle.... ![]() My house was built in 1929, has a detached garage....my TRUCK WONT FIT!

![]() My Sister had the same problem when she bought her f250 (to pull a horse trailer). They had an aluminum "carport" shelter put in and it lives under there now, along with her John Deere (diesel) yard tractor! But, there's NEVER enough time in life is there? Maybe that's what keeps it interesting. ![]() - Jack |

I just got back from the store with the parts for the "gotts mod" intake.
My only question was, is there a difference in using ABS(black) or PVC(white)? Does one hold up better to heat than the other or was it strictly an aesthetic purpose. I couldn't even find any ABS tubing at my home depot, they only had PVC.

If you can only find white PCV then use krylon fusion paint.
Not really any difference.

Is krylon fusion paint just a heat resistant paint? I have some of that in flat black for my grill to be repainted each spring...my cooking grill not my truck grill
