Oldbie
as opposed to newbie.
Howdy, Chris from Spring Valley, CA here. Been away from the forums for a couple years. Bill's forum posts had my full attention back in the day. I don't mean to brown nose but he still makes more sense to me compared to some other tuners. That includes many recent threads I just read with banter between Bill and Jody. Anyway I'm just catching up to what's new. I'm still running an old E80 program that was flashed onto a spare PCM by Jody back when Bill was unavailable and I have an old 1705 programmer that I retired in 2002. I suppose the 1705 is of no value or can it be re-flashed with modern programs? Perhaps I should just sell it on ebay for lunch money? I've been pretty satisfied running just one program the last 8 years but I know stuff's better now and I am having the P1211 come up more often these days. I'll be checking the pump/IPR with AE this weekend. A no-start program would be good and would help justify the expense of multiple programs on whatever fancy switching system y'all have these days. Key fobs, digital dash switches. I will be reading up on all the options. Thanks for having me. Chris 2002 PSD with conservative mods, big exhaust, UMP air filter and such.
