I was looking at the 7.3L box and hex code list and see that for a PMT2 i need files that have the code VRAA7S5
when i pull up the list of available calibrations for my chip there are only 4 tunes with this code. 0HP STOCK 65HP TOWING 80HP DAILY DRIVER 100HP PERFORMANCE the other available tunes are code VRAA6S3 which are for a PMT1. does it matter if i use these tunes? will my pcm or truck be harmed if i do? |

You can use the PMT1 tunes, they will work fine in your PMT2.

thanks man. I reburned it just a few minutes ago with two of the VRAA7S5 tunes and four of the VRAA6S3 tunes and had an issue with the truck dieing when i switched between the different tunes.
Im reburning it now with all VRAA6S3 tunes and hopefully it solves the problem. hope i didn't screw something up |

![]() You didn't hurt anything, but you CANNOT run different base strategies on a chip without experiencing exactly what you did. That's why the truck would stall or hiccup between tunes. ![]()

once i reburned it with all the same base strategies it works fine again. i've never had this problem but then again i've never tried to burn it with two different codes.
thanks for the help. |
