Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

Very important with a chip so you don't melt your aluminum pistons at 1250F

What calibrations did you order?
For sake of discussion, my truck has the stock intake, exhaust, turbo, injector size etc)... EGTs have not been a concern while driving unloaded in my 65 daily driver tune. While using the 80 performance tune, from a dead stop I can remain at WOT for 8-10 seconds before EGTs become a concern. I do not have any hotter tunes then 80P but I can only assume that more power will equal more heat so be advised... Towing is a different story. EGTs can get pretty high even at part throttle depending on the conditions. If you don't have an EGT gauge, then you might want to remain in stock tune while towing until such time where you can get a gauge installed.... EGT gauge is actually pretty useful to have so you might really want to consider getting one when your funds allow.
