Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled)
Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip.

If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here.

Default Phoenix vs F.U. Upgrade

I'm wanting to get the Phoenix chip and upgrade to the F.U. chip when it is available. My question is, would it be better to order the Phoenix now, and then upgrade, or wait until after the 30th to order the F.U.? Mostly wondering about the shipping of the two. Thanks

That is exactly my situation. How do I pay for the Whole package now and receive a programmed Phoenix until the package is available?

How long does it normally take to get the chip with canned tunes and the burner?

It should not take too long if the the chip is in stock... not sure about the Phoenix as it does not seem to be as popular, (I don't know why someone would want a programmer over a shift on the fly chip) but they seem to sell out of the Gryphon as fast as they get them in.... otherwise add a week to get the chip. then when you get the FU upgrade they will send you the burner and the software. Keep in mind that Canned tunes are still dependent on the hex code so there is still probably a half hr of setup time per chip... just a guess but based on doing my phoenix with minotaur software...
Just for example, if you have a non-stock tire size then each of the 6 canned tunes needs to be opened and the tire size value changed and then saved then burned to the chip.... So there is a bit more to it than just putting 6 pre-written tunes onto a chip... Also why it's important to list all of your mods on the order form...

Thank you. I don't mean to be impatient. I'm just so excited!

At the end of next week you gotta let us know if the "No Phones" idea worked out and if it let Bill get caught up some! It would be nice to see him back on the forums...

Hey Bill,

Got my chip and installed it today. I can't say what my first reaction was, the language might offend some people. This thing is awesome! All around. Power is unbelievable. Trans shifting is superb. I can't put into words how happy I am with it. When I first got on it on the 120 setting, I was glad the tires were slipping. Felt like it had enough power to snatch the rear end out of it if they did grab. Shift points were spot on. Had the Edge Evo II on it before I put the chip in. I know you had, and still do have a major part in the tuning for those, but it is no comparison to the Phoenix. You are the man!
