Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

Standard or Modified?
Ready to order my chip but need to check on some questions that I'm not too sure of.
I just had a new trans built for my 2000 F350 7.3 and not sure if I go Standard or Modified? Changes made... 1. Billet triple disk low stall TC 2. Shift kit...trans guy can change one thing to put closer to stock if need be. Any input will help in ordering and helping me get my chip on order! Thanks all… |

It's up to you....
Here's what the website says: "Our $295 chip is for customers that do not require additional custom tuning. If you have modified your transmission, your chip will most likely need modified calibrations to work properly, and we suggest that you purchase a custom tuned chip for $445. We will be happy to send you a chip with our standard calibrations; however, we cannot guarantee that they will work properly with your transmission. Should your chip need to be reburned due to shifting issues, you will be responsible for paying the upcharge of $200 (for custom tunes) and shipping both in directions. " From my experience, "shift kits" require custom tuning due to harsh shifts and the torque converter clutch change to "triple disk" will need to have the apply rate changed as well.

Okay, so will you need what shift kit and installed valves...or is it better top have stock shifts in transmission. Not sure if you would be hunting around to match a program to a modified valves body
