Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

Thank's for all your help and concern about my shift point! I was going to call Bill this week but put it off until next week, but I now see Bill has his hands full at the present time. I can wait until the first part of December to call him, that won't be a problem for me I can still drive the truck, just need to get that tune tweaked sometime later when Bill gets caught up and is running with a full staff.
Thank's again: Don ![]() |

I wonder if that 2-3 TC delay would fix that weird shift I had way back when. Humm had not thought about that.. but that delay is a constant right? Regardless of load or APP etc.

I thought your issue was a 4-3 shift problem, DJ. That was a while ago so I could be mistaken.

Mine is the same way. You can feel the TC lock up in 2nd and then depending on your throttle position its almost instant in 3rd. I can tell the delay but only at certain rpms and throttle position. I am very in tune with my truck so that may be why I can. I feel that it is done to help with towing and mpg's. I don't have a problem with it in mine but not to say someone else won't.

My thoughts exactly! I have personally got used to the way my truck behaves and got used to it, then programming changes and things are different. Hard to decide if there is someting wrong because thats not how it was before or is it intended for some reason.

I personally could not stand the way ANY tuning shifted until I was able to make my own (and I had quite a few). What I like is way different than most other people.
The real shocker to the customer comes when he goes from something like an NVK2/3/4, MRT2, or MNM0 and then gets a PMT1-coded chip. It's either a love it or hate it situation.
