The Conversation Pit This is where EVERYTHING else goes. No subject is too mundane. How's the weather in your area? Did your kid cut his first tooth? Really, what do you think about the President? And don't get me started on Cummins and Duramaxes. Have at it! |

I know!!!
I know this is not a ford, but I thought the great people on this forum might be able to help.
My brother in law has an srt-4 neon, turbocharged. It keeps cutting out WOT at 4000 rpm, but it won't cut out if you gently push it passed 4000 rpm. WOT at 4000 rpm when it cuts out it stays running just stops accelerating. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Ty

Ty,
How the heck are you? My guess is check the fuel pump and pressure might not be getting enough right away but when going into it easy it can keep up.

Thanks for the input guys. New plugs, Wires will be checked ASAP. No check engine codes and it is open exhaust. No cats or mufflers. There is a fuel pump rewire mod which we are looking into. It changes out the power wire going to the fuel pump because the stock one only sends 8-9 volts, not the 12 necessary. Just wondering what you guys thought it could be related to. Sounds like fuel Maybe.
