Unfortunately for me though, none of the calibration updates have worked. I'm back on my canned 87 tow tune permanently. My truck runs awesome on that tune though.....I'd almost say even better than in did on the custom performance tune. If the truck likes it.....probably best to leave it. I'm happy.
I was thinking of going back to the canned tunes for the time being, but to play it safe I went back to the stock tune. I have a AirAid CAI, and to my understanding you can't mix canned tunes with a CAI on our trucks because it will make it run dangerously lean. I would love to run anything but the stock tune, but I don't want to toast my engine...

Run the canned tow tune. It is designed to run a tad richer than your stock tune. It is the canned performance tune where you run the risk of super lean.

Ok thanks! I'll give it a go. Now when I plug in my Gryphon to the Pegasus software and have it update the canned calibrations, I know it will overwrite my custom tunes, but is there any way to backup my custom tunes to my computer or will they be gone forever? I ordered my custom tunes a while ago , back when they were $50 per tune and I have 3. I don't want to just throw $150 away...

Check with them first, but your tunes "should" still be on the server. Just go to "custom file download" to restore your custom tunes.
