contacted the PO and found a few things, i saw tape residue on the pcm so asked about that and he said there had been a banks chip in it, the trans was replaced at a dealer in colorado replaced around 99 or 2000. does this change anything

My guess is that it has a Transcommand on it.....Banks likes to sell three different things to accomplish the same thing that most aftermarket programming companies do with one piece of hardware. That will most certainly cause a harsh shift. ![]() |

i will look for it, is there a usually mounting spot for it?

looked for it at the connector but only stock wires there and no sign of the module,
is it possible it is a code problem as you said before, i dont want to spend money to ship it if i'm just going to have the same problems |

If it has one, Ive always seen them mounted to the body kind of under the pass door area. U'll also see wires coming from the connector going to that box

ok the truck has seemed to "learn" and the trans is shifting better is this possible?
