Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

With the help of the input I have come up with the following:
1. Stock 2. High Idle (1100rpm) 3. 40 Tow 4. 80 DD 5. 100 Perf 6. 100 Race I'm going to sit on this until tomorrow, then order. From what I have read I could always send the chip back for shipping cost and get other tunes put on it? |

Yes you can always send it back in to have tunes changed. However it will cost $25 per changed tune.
If you think you might want to play with different tunes I would suggest getting the FU chip. The fu is the same physical chip but you have access to all of the tunes for your truck. You burn what you want, when you want. Later down the rd you can get custom tunes if you ever decide to upgrade injectors, etc. With the fu, the additional cost is just the cost for the burner/software. Just something to think about. I have the fu, no downtime or need to be without tunes. You can then play with the different tunes and decide for yourself what you want. This way there are no mistakes on choosing tunes.

Put the 120 Race instead of 100 Race, probably not much diff w/stock injectors but might as well get all you can get...haha

My only reservation is if I should put a 65hp tune in the mix somewhere to have a variety. The truck has 108k miles on it and I do tend to baby it, the 120 race may break that streak.

That's really up to you.
Maybe do 65dd then 80 or 100 performance, but do not do any tune 15hp apart in the same class(dd,perf, race, etc). You can also try to get a hold of Bill on Tuesday before you make your order. He would be the best to explain differences and recommendations.

I agree with CJ, combine the no start and the high idle. It's a great two-fer.

I ended up ordering Sunday night, I went with:
1.Stock 2.1100 High Idle 3.40 Tow 4.65 Performance 5.80 DD 6.100 Performance I think this will suit me well for what I use the truck for. I will do a full review after I get the chip in and some miles on it. Thanks for all the suggestions. |
