The Conversation Pit
This is where EVERYTHING else goes. No subject is too mundane. How's the weather in your area? Did your kid cut his first tooth? Really, what do you think about the President? And don't get me started on Cummins and Duramaxes. Have at it!

Here's one for you mechanics. On the 5.4 04-08 f150's the altenater sits top dead center. Remember this. On the newer v8 cadillacs the starter sits in the same position except on the back side of the motor underneath the whole intake plenum assembly. Nice piece of engineering for you mechanics out there.

YUP done a few of those. Same car...have to pull trans out to get exhaust cross-over pipe out to get oil pan off. and every one of them leaks.

another same car.....replace head gaskets...torque head bolts and you will pull the threads out of the aluminum block.

and this is a $50,000 car

The early diesels were fun to play with. I agree with you Chuck, totally. But it all started to go down hill with them when the epa flexed its muscle and the duratrash came out oh I meant duramax. In my book the international 7.3 was the best and in second was the cummins.
