Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

I have a '97 F-350 with a Tymar air intake, 3" dp 4" exhaust (no cat no muffler). The truck has 155,000 miles. I'm thinking about getting a Phoenix chip with 65hp tow tune and 80hp dd. Is this about the most hp I'll get with my current set up? I thought about getting smokeshow as well, but it probably won't smoke that much without bigger injectors, turbo or hpop. Thanks in advance for any replies.

You're right about 80 HP being about tops. Also, the SmokeShow calibration won't do much for you either. Your injectors are actually the limiting factor right now. The stock turbocharger can handle a bit more fuel than stock but down the line, the compressor will eventually be holding you back. The nice thing about having the 3" downpipe and 90cc injectors is that you can pretty much do anything you want in your highest HP setting and never have to worry about EGT.
