Does anyone know if the 2001 7.3 fuel bowl will work in a 1997 obs?

It will but you will have to change you HPOP reservoir, all the fuel lines, wiring, and more than likely have to switch to the electric fuel pump unless you want to do some customization.

Probably not worth the effort unless you have a donor SD to take parts from.

Can I as why?

Had a small leak from the bleeder valve, tightened it and broke it. Found one on ebay for a 2001 7.3. After looking closer I saw that they were definately different. My wife is gonna kill me if I don't stop around with my truck, and breakin !
