Default Will this cause the truck to throw out codes?

As the title says, will adding a 3" hole in the airbox letting in more air from behind the headlight cause a problem and have the truck throw out codes? Attached is the picture of what it looks like.

Thanks for the quick response! Hoping to see a little difference by adding the extra air inlet.

Buying or building? I've been planning something similar because in this heat my temps are gettin' pretty high.

I'm building it. I'm going to cut a 3" hole in the air box and have a PVC pipe that has a lip slide through from inside the box so it can't slide out and try to shape it to the box then connect an elbow to direct another pipe down towards the headlight.
