Just wanted to post and say thanks for all the reply's. Nice to know that there are members on here that will help; and best of all...commission free!!!
Wehewwww!!! I see J&J posts all the time dishing out helpful advise.
But I do have one question pertaining to custom options/standard shifting. The manual states "Positive values will cause later shifts while negative values will cause shifts to occur sooner". My thoughts ( and correct me if I'm wrong) are that if you set the upshifts to a neg., the truck, under normal accelleration, will shift at a lower mph/rpm. This should make the truck get a little better fuel economy, provided you dont have a heavy right foot. But on the down shifts, wouldnt you need to make the value on the positive side? Because, according to the manual "pos value = later shift". Say I'm in od w/ conv locked up @ say 60 mph. I sart up a slight grade. I want the truck to delay my downshift...so wouldnt I want pos values?
I've found out that learning to use the programmer is sorta trial-and -error. Its becoming easier the more I play with it.

You're not alone in finding this to be a trial and error process! I actually went through the same reasoning as you did regarding the downshifts. Finally, I decided that since negative values referred to lower speeds, (part throttle shifts are governed by both speed and throttle position - in other words "load"), that I'd use negative numbers on the downshift side too to delay downshifting as long as possible. It seems to work out.

I've also cranked my Torque Converter lock/unlock points as far negative as possible too, since I don't drive like a scalded ape. I prefer the way the truck drives now and none of this effects WOT shifting.

I think you're right. I originally had pos values on the downshift side, but the truck seemed to want to unlock at higher mph. So when I got home from work, I changed all the values to neg and it seemed to help in keeping the r's down. I have about 3 miles of secondary road @ 30-35 mph. I've found that if I turn the overdrive off, I can keep it in 4th w/ the t.c. locked up. I watch the instantaneous mph and it seems to help. I must admit, I was kinda sceptical reading all these posts about getting 2-3 mhg better. I check my mileage religiously with the trip od and a calculator. Before, I avg, 13.5 to 14.5. K&N cai, troyer u/d's, brisk plugs, magnaflow muffler and php tunes are my only mods so far and now I get 15.5 to 16.5. I still hv e-fans that I got off e-bay needing installed. Hope 2 to this on my next 6 day off stint.
I religiously try to stay under 2 grand on the tach. Or I have it mashed to the floorboard. No in-between for me!!
