Having worked in a dealership, I'll say most techs won't mess with it; however, you can never be sure about some goofball wanting to give it a look and changing something, or walking away with it. I think they're right, take it out of the truck.

The best advice, which covers all situations when taking your truck to a dealership, is: Always, always, ALWAYS, return the truck to the stock program and remove the programmer. That way if they do flash it, no harm done. At worst, your hex code may change and if you have custom tunes they will need to be updated. With the programmer in your possession it should not get away from you.
